Now that the lease on your building is coming to an end, what are your next steps? Well, you have some options. ModSpace will contact you by phone or email approximately 60 days before your lease of three months or more expires with the options to renew, relocate or return your ModSpace office trailer. There are three ways to get the process started: by responding to your end-of-lease email, through our mobile app, The Hub, or by contacting our Customer Service team. Here’s a brief look at the process for each.
Renew Your Office Trailer Lease
The Hub is available for ModSpace leases starting after May 9, 2016.
Renewing the lease on your office trailer is a simple process that can be completed in as little as a few minutes. Renewing your lease before it expires locks in your rate for the duration of the contract. Once your new terms are set, we’ll email you your new lease which can be accepted with a digital signature. No snail mail required.
If you’re not ready to renew, but need your building for a little longer, leasing month-to-month is also an option. Please contact us for your new rate.
Relocate Your Office Trailer
Relocating an office trailer refers to moving a building from your site to another location where you will continue to use it. Only ModSpace and its designated representatives are authorized to move buildings. We can move your building to a new location at any time in your lease or when a new lease is signed on the same building.
Relocating a building directly to your new site in conjunction with a renewed lease can save you on transportation fees compared to returning the building to the ModSpace branch and then transporting it to your new location.
Make sure to notify ModSpace 30 days before your relocation is needed. Your pick-up and delivery locations, the time of year, weather and any unique requirements of your sites can delay your delivery without sufficient notice. ModSpace will also need signed approval for the relocation and any associated fees. An inspection may be needed before moving the building and/or starting a new lease.
Your Relocation to-do List:
- Remove all personal items and furniture.
- Disconnect all utilities.
- Leave ModSpace furniture inside. We will move this for you.
- Contact Customer Service if you need help moving any additional items.
- Renew or extend any required permits.
Return Your Office Trailer
You can request to have your building returned at any point in your lease through The Hub or by contacting Customer Service by phone or email. Our Dispatch Team will contact you within 4 business hours of your request. Returning your building before the end of your lease may result in additional fees.
