Once you’ve identified where to place your office trailer at your site, you’ll need get your site ready to receive the building. Here’s how to get your site ready for an office trailer delivery.

Permits

Secure all required federal, state or local permits before building will be delivered.

The Foundation

You’ll need a firm, flat area to support your building. Avoid areas where pooling water could be a problem. Concrete, asphalt and compressed gravel foundations are best. But compressed dirt works too.

Before You Dig

If your building will be anchored to the ground, call 811 before you dig. This is a free federal service for locating and marking underground utilities. Call 811 early to ensure any utilities are marked before the delivery of your building.

Site Services

If you will be connecting to city electric, water or sewer services, contact the local utility providers to establish service and schedule connections after your building is delivered.

Accessibility

Make sure there is room for a truck to deliver and remove the building. Clear any fixtures or debris at least 6 feet from the path of the delivery truck and on all sides of the final location. Check your local your codes as they may requirement more than 6 feet.

Delivery Day

Make sure any gates that will be used to access your site are open. An authorized representative must be present when the building is delivered to show the driver where and how you would like the building set up.
